Annual Giving

Every year, annual gifts are made to support our students, their families, and our staff. We cannot thank you enough for the immediate and powerful impact these generous gifts make to our school.

HPDS is pleased to share its Annual Report for the 2019-2020 Fiscal year.

Our Annual Appeal

Each year, Hyde Park Day School asks alumni, parents, Board members and friends to make a gift to the Annual Appeal. Gifts to the annual fund provide the school with the flexibility in meeting immediate operating expenses and sustaining critical programs that provide the best educational option in the Chicagoland area for children who struggle with learning disabilities.

Gifts may be designated for:

  • General operating support
  • Scholarship
  • Other school-designated needs
The Annual Benefit Event

Hyde Park Day School’s annual benefit is a highly impactful event where parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of the community join together for an evening of fun and philanthropy.

Proceeds from the event support The Bright Futures Scholarship Fund.

The Bright Futures Scholarship Fund

We believe that financial ability should not prohibit students of average-to-superior ability, who have learning disabilities, the opportunity to receive an innovative and comprehensive education. HPDS’ Bright Futures Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to children in order to attend our school. Nearly one third of our students receive some type of financial assistance to attend Hyde Park Day School.

Support for the scholarship fund comes from a variety of sources, including parents, alumni and other friends. In recent years, we have designated all proceeds from the Annual Benefit to the Bright Futures Scholarship Fund.

We have a special event this year!

We are celebrating Hyde Park Day School – Chicago campus principal Evan Hammontree’s time at HPDS with Evan’s Encore: Running for Bright Futures. Mr. Hammontree will run a 100-mile journey over the course of five weeks, linking all three campuses in order to raise awareness about children with learning disabilities, as well as the specialized supports that Hyde Park Day School provides.
